Plump your pout! What do try before you decide to inject...
We have all seen it, and way more recently lately, our favorite celebrities seemingly getting better looking as they age...a miracle? Nope! Great doctors. But the maddening part is we as consumers hear them all deny it and it can drive us crazy wondering why we keep getting older and more wrinkled but they don't! Besides botox for wrinkles and eye drooping, lip injections are the #2 thing people can do to halt the aging face.
Now we are NOT talking about the kind that Kylie Jenner is doing, we are talking about a subtle "whisper" in the lips to give them a plumper appearance, hence younger.
As we age the first thing to go is volume in our face especially our lips leading to a thinner less youthful pout.
BUT before you head to a Dermatologist to stick a needle into your face with filler (there are so many fillers out there and since we have not tried it yet we can't help there so PLEASE do your research and go to a very very very reputable DR) try these new ways to plump your pout.
Gone are the days of Lip Venom and other cinnamon filled glosses that burn your lips into submission. The new topicals are not glosses but balms. Balms filled with peptides, vitamins, SPF (yay..finally!) and some even have synthetic collagen to rebuild lip volume.
Dior has a beautiful new balm that uses Vitamin A & E and shea butter to revitalize and "anti-age" lips.
Murad came out with Rapid Collagen Infusion for lips and the reviews are great! It is said to help the lines around your lips in less than a week while plumping them at the same time with moisturizers and mustard sprout to boost circulation.
Dr Stuart Kaplan, a famous plastic surgeon in the 90210 came out with his own line of products to help with the aging gracefully process. And we are quite intrigued with this next balm duo, the Perfect Pout Lip Mask and Balm.
And PS the first thing in getting younger lips? LOTS of water! The funny thing is as we get older and life gets crazier we turn to caffeine to get us through the days like the Superwomen we are but that same coffee/tea can wreck havoc in our faces and bodies by stealing water from our systems. Plump lips need H2O.
A plastic mold that uses suction (your own) to draw blood into your lips to plump for 1-3 hours. The videos are INSANE! We are absolutely going to try but our only concern is will it cause more wrinkles and sagging down the road from stretching your lip skin out over and over??? Hmmmm.
The best most natural and fulfilling thing you can do to look younger? Smile...find your daily happiness. And water :)
