Thanksgiving table

Thanksgiving has always been our favorite holiday for many reasons, it's not a day about gifts or buying anything. Thanksgiving is truly about spending time with the people you love and celebrating how thankful you are for each other.

We both love to have our whole families over to our houses especially now that we have children. It makes it so much easier to have all the grandparents and aunts & uncles in one place around your kids.

Aside from the menu, which we will get into later in the week, our favorite thing to do is make a beautiful table scape. We have been planning ours in our heads for weeks now.

This photo shoot from Found Rentals a vintage rentals source in California is beyond our wildest dream. (If you are having a wedding or any event and you need some amazing one of a kind rentals check them out, we are drooling over everything they do.)

Taking a page from this inspiration we are going heavy on the copper and brass at the table this year.

Succulents are a natural compliment for the warm tones of brass and copper and we love them potted individually in small eclectic containers.

We also love mixing in vintage and non-vintage small brass and copper figurines along the table.

We have had our gold toned flatware for a little over a year and a half now and it has held up pretty nicely. We couldn't recommend it more for your table settings and your  honestly your life. Right now you can get a beautiful rose gold set at Crate & Barrel

For dramatic floral centerpieces or entryway pieces we would splurge and go to one of our favorite local florists.

For our LA peeps, we wouldn't recommend anyone but our fellow Hey Mama member Kelsey Harper at Flowergirl Los Angeles. Not only is she insanely talented at what she does she is also one of the good people. A sweet, real, loving mama we all should support. Famous for her flower crowns and loose casual arrangements we love FGLA's work.

For our South Side readers, we can't get enough of Main Street, Seal Beach's gem Petals & Pop. The floral artists here create loose, romantic and dreamy arrangements. They also make fantastic wreaths. As an added bonus the girls that all work in the shop are super sweet and it always feels good to go in.

As always, the most important thing at your table will be the love that you and your tribe share. Remember to live in this amazing feeling of gratefulness everyday. Tell the people you love hoe thankful you are for them.
